New Year, old year...does it matter?

by TMAC on 01/02/14

Am I the only person who doesn't do the resolution thing? Let me make this clear, if a person wants to make resolutions and plans for the "new year" then that's perfectly fine for them. I'm a 'live and let live' kind of guy. It's just for me personally, I have adopted a life resolution rather than a New Year's resolution. My life resolution is simple, do the right things the best I can and avoid doing the wrong things. That's it. In a nut shell. I know, sounds moronically simple but that's me. Moronically simple. That's the way I can understand it. I know that sometimes it's difficult distinguishing what's right and what's wrong. That's when prayer and time come into play. One of my motto's is if it's not on fire, if no one is bleeding, and if no one is in any immediate danger then take plenty of time to think about your next step. As I get older I have realized that keeping things as simple as possible usually ends in better results and less stress. If a situation is complicated, like life sometimes can be, try to break the problem down to small, less complex pieces then deal with the smaller pieces one at a time. I know this problem solving method won't work for everything but the more you can employ it the less stressful your life will be. Just my thoughts...peace ya'll...terry
